"Микроикономика на конкурентността"
The University of New York in Tirana (UNYT), Albania announces that the course "Microeconomics of Competitiveness" (MoC) is offered in the Spring 2009 academic semester.
Based on materials developed and released by Prof. Michael Porter, The Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness / Harvard
Business School, MoC is open to Graduates or Upper-Class Senior Students majoring in Economics, Business and related disciplines, but is also integrated in UNYT's MBA programme.
The course explores theory, policy, organizational and institutional structures, and the change processes required for sustained improvements in competitiveness. Among others, the following topics are contextualized:
. National and regional competitiveness determinants;
. The perspective of firms, clusters, sub-national units, nations, and groups of neighbouring countries;
. Sources of national or regional productivity;
. The roles of industry associations, universities and other institutions in competitiveness;
. Creating and sustaining an economic strategy for a nation or region.
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to all students successfully completing the course's requirements.
